A commencement address by ‘68 CAS grad Michael Budman, co-founder of Roots, a worldwide lifestyle brand, selling a wide range of clothing, leather goods and accessories. Root’s began as a company that sold the famous Roots negative heel shoe and has grown to become a major manufacturing and retailing operation with 225 stores on two continenta. Roots caught the world’s attention when the company clothed the 2004 US Olympic team with those signature berets. In his address, Michael talks about how MSU and the turbulentnt 60s molded his desire to serve.
