A commencement address by ‘68 CAS grad Michael Budman, co-founder of Roots, a worldwide lifestyle brand, selling a wide range of clothing, leather goods and accessories. Root’s began as a company that sold the famous Roots negative heel shoe and has grown to become a major manufacturing and retailing operation with 225 stores on two continenta. Roots caught the world’s attention when the company clothed the 2004 US Olympic team with those signature berets.
