Spartan Dawgs Andre Hutson, Todd Duckett, and Tim Bograkos talk about Johnny Football and whether college athletes should benefit financially from their personal brand.

“Should Manziel be able to sell his own likeness?” asks Bograkos.

“I don’t get the whole idea of autographs to begin with,” says Duckett. “But if someone’s willing to ask you for your autograph it’s a privilege because you must be doing something right and living the right way.”

Hutson adds that “you should be grateful if someone thinks enough of you to ask you for your autograph.”

The Dawgs don’t see a problem with college athletes giving away their memorabilia. “But the rules don’t allow it,” says Duckett.

“If you sign with a university, you have to abide by their rules,” adds Hutson.
