From MSU Today on Impact Radio: World-renowned architect Zaha Hadid of London has been selected as the winner in the design competition for the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at MSU.

MSU will be the home of a new world-class art museum focusing on modern and contemporary art thanks to a gift of $26 million from philanthropist and MSU alumnus Eli Broad and his wife, Edythe.

Hadid talks about how she draws her inspiration for a project like the Broad Museum. She describes the feelings she hopes visitors to the faicility will take away with them, and she details the important considerations for the buidling design.

Broad describes the reasons the museum is important to MSU. He tells where his passion for the arts came from. And he talks about the impact the museum will have on the region and why art is important for all of us.
