Bob Skandalaris is a 1974 graduate of the MSU Broad College of Business. He’s founded and served as CEO of several private and public companies and established Quantum Ventures of Michigan.

Skandalaris is passionate about entrepreneurship.

“One of the big words out there right now is ‘intrepreneurship’ and big companies are becoming more entrepreneurial so they can compete,” says Skandalaris. “The skills you can learn as an entrepreneur – even if you’re not one – are really valuable.”

Skandalaris and his family give generously to MSU.

“There aren’t too many places where you can give money back to a cause and see the direct impact it has on the people you most want to help.

“We feel like when we give to Michigan State we can see the benefit that it brings to the university environment.”

Spartans football coach Mark Dantonio says Skandalaris is “extremely supportive in every aspect” of the MSU football program. And Spartans men’s basketball coach Tom Izzo adds “There’s no question Bob Skandalaris has put his mark on Michigan State.”

Skandalaris is co-chairing MSU’s Empower Extraordinary capital campaign.

“It takes the support of a whole village to support a place like Michigan State, and they are really important to the future of this country. The dollars you’re giving today, in some cases will help the university today, but most of them will help the university for years and years to come.”
