Ellen Jones and Deb Pozega Osburn talk about their careers in communications. Ellen traces her path from the WEYI newsroom in Saginaw to her current role as a communications executive for Delta Dental. Deb was the first woman to cover sports for the Lansing State Journal, went on to the editor’s chair, into public relations at Michigan State University and ultimately started her own public relations firm, Lezotte Miller Osburn. We discuss the trials and tribulations of being female trailblazers in a world that at the time was dominated by men, developing a client communication strategy in the age of instant communications, how podcasting fits into Delta Dental’s information plan.
